Like many modern romances, Ben and Whitney's wouldn't have started without the internet. They met in November of 2020 on Bumble. After weeks of talking virtually, they had their first date on December 27th. For their first date, they met at Ben's house where they ordered pizza (Hawaiian) and watched a movie (Deadpool, per Whitney's recommendation). The rest, as they say, is history.

After months of bonding over a love of music, craft beer, good food and good conversation, Ben and Whitney found they were spending every possible minute together. They knew without a doubt - this was the real thing. In May of 2021, they moved into their first house along with Ben's daughters Hallie and Sydney, and Whitney's cats Chubby, Fogerty, and Nillie.

After almost a year living together, Ben surprised Whitney with a weekend trip to their favorite city - Louisville, KY. On Saturday, Ben took Whitney to Copper & Kings Distillery. While on the top floor balcony enjoying the view, Ben proposed. With an excited "Yes!" from Whitney, they were officially engaged.

Ben and Whitney will officially be Mr. and Mrs. Poe on June 29th of 2024. In the meantime, they are enjoying planning their wedding as well as concerts, board games, breweries, and traveling when time allows. They look forward to sharing their special day with all of their loved ones!
